Always learning…

As my team and I closed out a challenging but successful year, I thought it would be worth sharing these notes on one of the projects we at Hartlepool Sport are involved in.

These are our notes, observations and suggestions for the next phase of the Sport England place expansion, building on Asset Based Community Development principles (championed by Cormac Russell et al).

This is an exciting and timely investment in Hartlepool, and can go a long way to helping our community if we embrace ABCD in all its messiness – supporting the Pride in Place strategy.

Over the past few weeks we’ve started talking through this with community members and local organisations, and it’s become a living document – exactly what we hoped it would become.

We’ve also created a short video summary of it – helping to make the content more accessible.
